Spotlight — The Studio
The film room, in their pocket.
Pro programmes coach with film; junior clubs mostly coach with memory. The Studio closes that gap: upload the game on the drive home, cut three teachable moments, pin a voice note to each — and the player watches their own shift at the kitchen table.
Coach voice note, pinned to the clip — the player hears it at home.
1 · Capture
No. S2From the stands to the Studio.
Film it on a phone or a camera at the glass — upload it once and the Studio handles the rest: processing, streaming-ready playback on any device, and filing against the right team, session and players. No exports, no USB sticks, no "it's on Dave's laptop".
- Upload from phone or camera — processing is automatic
- Filed by team, session and player
- Streams over private, signed links — never public URLs
A clip is never orphaned — it rides the pipeline into the review and the report families read.
2 · Cut
No. S2Nobody rewatches a full game. Everyone watches their own 30 seconds.
Sixty minutes becomes three moments.
Nobody rewatches a full game — least of all a twelve-year-old. Scrub the timeline, mark the breakout, the defensive-zone read, the net drive, and cut each into a clip tagged to the player and the skill it teaches. The Studio turns film into a library of moments, not an archive of hours.
- Clips cut on the timeline in seconds
- Tagged to players and the skills they evidence
3 · Coach it
No. S2Say it once, land it forever.
Pin a thirty-second voice note to the clip — "watch where your eyes go here" — and attach the whole thing to the player's review, goal or task. The player hears their coach's voice over their own shift, at home, as many times as they need. That conversation used to evaporate in the changing room.
- Voice notes pinned to clips
- Clips attached to reviews, goals and tasks
- Watched from the family portal at home
"Freeze it here — where are your eyes? Find the second layer before the puck arrives."
The player hears the coaching again at home — the changing-room moment stops evaporating.
4 · Safe by default
No. S2Consent is recorded per player and enforced wherever media appears — change it once, it applies everywhere.
Children's footage, treated like it matters.
Video of under-18s is the most sensitive thing a club holds, so the Studio treats it that way by default: private signed streams instead of shareable links, access scoped by role and family, and imagery consent enforced wherever a frame appears. Change a consent decision and it applies everywhere, immediately.
- Private signed streams — no public video URLs
- Per-player imagery consent, enforced in the Studio
