RinkTracker started with a question that nags every rink parent and every volunteer coach in the UK: the best hockey nations develop players with a system — why does our club run on spreadsheets, group chats and goodwill?

Finland produces elite players from a small population because every club works one long-term development model: clear expectations by age, honest assessment against them, and a plan for every player — not just the early bloomers.
RinkTracker adapts that thinking to UK junior hockey: age bands from U10 to U19 with their own targets, an anchored skill ladder so levels mean the same thing in every rink, relative-age fairness so late-born players are not quietly written off, and the whole club — schedule, subs, shop, tournaments — running around that loop rather than beside it.
It is built in the UK, for the realities of UK clubs: volunteer committees, shared ice, one treasurer with a day job, and a safeguarding bar that must never move.

An anchored ladder, age-band targets and relative-age context turn 'I think he's coming along' into a conversation about facts. Judgement stays with the coach — it just gets better inputs.

We onboard clubs by conversation, not by credit-card form. Every workspace starts with a walkthrough, sensible roles and a safeguarding setup that fits the club — because a platform holding children's data should never begin with defaults nobody read.
